Rateče is the perfect starting point for a variety of outdoor activities. Cyclists, hikers, and cross-country skiers will find plenty of trails and paths to explore. Mountaineers can head into the Julian Alps, where stunning peaks and unforgettable views await.
The village of Rateče lies on a plateau at the tripoint of Slovenia, Austria, and Italy, surrounded by the towering peaks of the Julian Alps to the south and the Karavanke mountains to the north. From Rateče, two alpine valleys branch out, offering even more opportunities for exploration:
- Planica, which ends in Tamar beneath the Jalovec mountain, where the first spring of the Sava Dolinka River emerges, creating the Nadiža waterfall.
- The valley leading to Planina Za Jezerom, which leads to Mangart's alpine pasture and ends beneath the northern face of Mangart.
At the start of the Planica valley, you'll find the famous ski jumps, where ski flying competitions began. From Rateče, mountaineers can ascend to the high peaks of Mojstrovke, Jalovec, Ponc, and Mangart, while hikers can reach the Sovška mountain pasture (the tripoint) with breathtaking views. Cyclists, cross-country skiers, and alpine skiers are invited to explore the Three Countries cycling path, cross-country tracks, and the renowned ski resorts in Kranjska Gora and Tarvisio.

This is our third year at Apartment Enia because we love it. We go as a family and visit several ski places nearby (Gerlitzen, KG, Tarvisio and Vogel). It’s a really lovely apartment that’s fully equipped (literally can’t think of anything missing), clean, modern and looked after by two really helpful hosts.

Vrlo lep, ugodan , čist apartman. Mirna sredina , pristupačno kolima, uredno sve Vlasnici su na sve mislili i obezbedili sve neophodno. Zaista svaka pohvala
Apartman je odlican,prostran i u njemu ima sve potrebno od pegle,fena za kosu pa sve ostalo.
V apartmaju imate vse kar potrebujete in še več; od sušilnega stroja do grelcev za smučarsko obutev ter toplega prostora za shranjevanje smučarske opreme. Ne manjkajo niti igrače za male nadobudneže ter Netflix za malo večje. Poleg vsega je bilo še darilo za dobrodošlico ter v kuhinji osnove za kuhanje. Lastniki ustrežljivi, prilagodljivi; same pohvale. Priporočam vsem ki si želite brezskrben dopust.
I am beyond satisfied with my stay in this mountain house – everything from cleanliness and atmosphere to the quality of all available amenities and house equipment was exceptional. Communication with the hosts and their kindness were top-notch. Highly recommended!
Zelo lep in funkcionalen apartma. V njem je vse, kar je potrebno za lagodno prebivanje, tako da hudo pakiranje ni potrebno. Na voljo je veliko posode, kuhinja je zelo dobro založena z aparati, dovolj je brisač. Najemodajalka odzivna in prijazna. Zelo toplo priporočam.
We had an excellent stay at this apartment! It is modern, well-equipped, and incredibly comfortable. The location is perfect, and the apartment offers plenty of space, it easily accommodated our two families with five children. The hosts pay attention to every detail to ensure comfort and cleanliness. We are absolutely certain that we will choose this place again for our next visit!

Mi smo nad nastanitvijo bili izjemno navdušeni. Čistost apartmaja, ogromen vrt, kuhinja z vsem kar gospodinja potrebuje, namizna dobrodošlica, cena in za povrh prijazno osebje je vse tisto, kar nas je pritegnilo, da bomo nastanitev ponovno obiskal.

Zelo lepo urejena hiša in njena zunanjost-žar, klopi, zelenica, kurišče, asfaltirano dvorišče. Na razpolago veliko brisač, posteljnin, pralnica… Dodatna kopalnica z wc-jem, super. Super, vračamo se že tretje leto in drugo leto tudi pridemo.
Zelo lepo urejena hiša in njena zunanjost-žar, klopi, zelenica, kurišče, asfaltirano dvorišče. Na razpolago veliko brisač, posteljnin, pralnica… Dodatna kopalnica z wc-jem, super. Super, vračamo se že tretje leto in drugo leto tudi pridemo.

Veliki apartma je res lep, prostoren, moderen in odlično opremljen. V kuhinji je na voljo vse, kar potrebuješ. Po prenovi in dodatni kopalnici je apartma nasploh super. Za še boljšo izkušnjo bi priporočal kakšna stojala za sušenje (smučarskih) čevljev v garaži.
This is our second year at the apartment which is perfect for two families staying together. Enhances to the property such as the en-suite bathroom and security gate in the top bedroom has pushed up our rating. Excellent facilities, comfortable stay and great communication from the owners. No snow in KG but not a problem with Austria and Italy not far away. Thank you.
Vse je bilo odlično. Zelo moderno opremljeno, prostorno in čisto. Primerno za odrasle in tudi manjše otroke.
Great ground floor apartment. Newly refurbished so nice kitchen and bathroom facilities. The location is great as 5-10 min drive to Kranjska Gora ski resort but we also managed to ski in Austria (45min drive) and Italy (25 mins). It was convenient having the larger apartment on the top floor for additional family members. Highly recommend!
Vrhunska namestitev!
Više puta smo bili s troje male djece u apartmanu i svaki put nam je bilo super. Apartman ima podno grijanje što je super jer djeca su stalno u čarapama, apartman je čist, domaćini su uvijek na raspolaganju ako nešto treba.

Odlična in mirna lokacija, apartma z vso možno opremo in čist. Se še sigurno vračamo.
Edini problem je bil parking zaradi večih avtomobilov - umikanje avtov....ampak, ker je zima in precej snega smo si rekli tako pač je :=) Vse ostalo BP. Lokacija TOP, apartma lep in čist zter v njem vse kar rabiš. Imeli smo super zimske počitnice :=)

Izredno prijeten, svetel, polno opremljen in topel apartma. Človek se v njem lahko počuti kot doma. Vse pohvale tudi lastnikom za gostoljubje.
Nov, moderen apartman in zelo dobro opremljen apartman, primeren za dve družini. Pozitivno presenečeni, da so bili na voljo tako tablete za pomivalni stroj, gel za pomivanje posode, pralni prašek, grelec smučarskih čevljev...
Vsekakor bomo prišli še kdaj.
